Many enjoy playing with balls and bells, and will sometimes roll onto their backs and play with their feet like a baby. They are not known for being good talkers, though most will learn a word or two. They will often pick up on key words that get them what they want, such as the name of a favorite food or person. An important thing to remember about Greencheek Conures is that their preening glands are oil-based. This means that they are great for people with allergies because they do not put off nearly as much dust as powder-based birds.
